    Sri Saamyajyoti Debnath was born on 20th November, 1990 at Karimganj, Assam. His father Sri Saroj Kumar Nath is a retired Subject Teacher (PGT) whose last posting was at Kushiarkul Higher Secondary School, Sadarashi, Karimganj. His mother Smt. Kalpana Nath is a successful home-maker. Sri Debnath has completed his schooling from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Karimganj in the year 2006. He completed his higher secondary in Arts stream from Karimganj College, Karimganj in the year 2008 and moved to Silchar, Assam for taking admission in the Law Department, Assam University, Silchar. From there, he completed his BA.LL.B (Hons.) course in the year 2013, and was awarded with a gold medal for securing first class first position in the examination. He also obtained Diploma in Cyber Laws and Diploma in Intellectual Property Laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune. In the examination for Diploma in Cyber Laws, he secured the ranking of 5th in all India. He also obtained certificate course in Medicine and Law from the Institute of Medicine and Law, Mumbai. In the year 2014, he was selected and appointed as a Grade-III Officer of Tripura Judicial Service. After induction training, he was at first posted as Civil Judge (Jr. Division) cum Judicial Magistrate Second Class, Kamalpur, Unakoti Judicial District on 11.02.2015. There, in addition to the judicial works, he also served as the Member Secretary, Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, Kamalpur, Unakoti Judicial District. On 01.08.2015, he was upgraded to Judicial Magistrate First Class at the same place of posting. On 07.11.2016, he was transferred and posted as the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate cum Civil Judge (Jr. Division), Gandacherra, Dhalai. Besides, he is also serving as the Chairman, Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committee, Gandacherra. Now posted as Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Civil Judge(Sr. Divn.), North Tripura, Dharmanagar.
